Job Title: Park & Building Supervisor

Description: The City of Wisconsin Rapids is seeking a full-time Park & Buildings Supervisor to supervise department staff in the park, recreation and building maintenance areas. The position is responsible for the maintenance of the City's parks and buildings. This position will also provide backup supervision for street and sewer construction, refuse collection and related public works activities. This non-union, exempt position reports to the Public Works Superintendent.

Qualifications: Position requires proven leadership skills, high school diploma or equivalent, five years of progressively responsible public works construction, park or building maintenance experience or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. A competent person training and a valid Wisconsin driver's license required. Vocational/technical training in park, building, or public works construction and maintenance preferred. Must be familiar with reading and interpreting blueprints and maintenance manuals. Must be familiar with buildings and grounds maintenance, electrical repairs, plumbing maintenance and heating and air conditioning systems.

Hours: Normal hours are Monday - Friday, 6:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and any weekend or evening hours as required. Must be available to attend evening meetings.

Pay Range: $50,223 - $56,823 plus an excellent fringe benefit package.

* City ordinance requires all newly hired employees to reside within the boundaries of the Wisconsin Rapids School District, or within a 15-mile radius of City Hall, within 12 months of the date of hire.
