Garbage and Recycling are on their regular schedule
Residents should put their garbage and
Garbage Cans must not be larger than 32 gallons in size, not to exceed three 32 gallon cans or equivalent per household. Larger cans will not be picked up by the garbage crew. Placing garbage at the curb in plastic bags is acceptable.
Garbage is picked up once a week in each neighborhood and recycling is picked up on your garbage day every other week. Use the map below to find the refuse and recycling collection times for your residence by entering your address in the search bar and pressing enter or clicking on the search glass icon. Once you have determined your garbage pick-up schedule and the Route number in which you live, you can use the 2017 Calendars for Route 11 and Route 18 below to identify which week your recycling will be picked up.

Refuse & Recycling Holiday Schedules:
The Street Department does not provide refuse or recycling collection on City holidays.
The 2018 holidays observed by the City are:
- New Year's Day (Falls on a Sunday – Garbage/Recycling on regular schedule)
- Memorial Day - May 28th
- Independence Day- July 4th
- Labor Day - September 3rd
- Thanksgiving day - November 22nd
- Christmas Day – December 25th
It is the policy of the Street Division to provide refuse and recycling collection in those areas affected by the holiday on the next working day after the holiday.
For example, all residents of Monday's trash collection districts will have their refuse and recycling collected the Tuesday after a Monday holiday (as listed above).

Residents in multifamily units (5 or more apartments) should contact their apartment owner or manager for recycling details.
The City does not pick up appliances, microwaves, television sets, remodeling material (lumber, drywall, tile, brick etc.), hazardous material and electronics. I have provided some area address and phone numbers to business that can dispose of these items for you. In some
