Parking Tickets

The city has eliminated most parking meters but a few remain. Meter enforcement is accomplished by patrol officers as they cover their beats. They also enforce violations for parking left wheel to curb, longer than sign restrictions and violation of handicapped parking restrictions. If you receive a parking ticket and feel that you wish to contest it, you may do so. Your first step would be to call our "Records" division at 421-6213 and ask for the steps to follow to plead not guilty. A trial date will be set and the trial would be held before the municipal judge.
