Raelin Baird is a 9th grader at East Junior High School. She enjoys spending her time cooking, reading and working on her English. She is hard working, passionate about her schooling, and a creative problem solver, qualities affirmed by her achievements: Raelin has been accepted into the National Junior Honor Society (which requires a GPA of 3.7 or higher); demonstrates her passion for schooling because she stresses over her grades and school work (even when those around her tell her not to!); and was once enrolled in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program, which prepares students for college by having them solve a series of real-life problems. Through all of this, she has managed to win the F.A.M.E. (Fantastic Achievement in Middle Education) award and passed the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals exam.
