Welcome to the City of Wisconsin Rapids website. The Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department is honored to serve the community and prides itself in delivering quality services to our citizens. The departments 39 members are trained in many different disciplines from fire to EMS to hazardous materials and many other specialty rescue operations. The departments motto, “Commitment to Excellence” is more than just a motto, it’s the standard we set for ourselves and the commitment that we will continually look at ways to improve and grow as a department.  
The mission of the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department is to be “Professional at all times” Proficient at all tasks” and “Polite to those we serve” and "Compassionate to those in need".  The departments motto and mission is engrained into our culture. The Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department provides fire services to the city of Wisconsin Rapids, is a state certified level III hazardous materials team and provides ambulance coverage to the municipalities of; Wisconsin Rapids, Village of Biron, Village of Port Edwards, town of Port Edwards, town of Saratoga, City of Nekoosa, and the town of Cranmoor. We hope you never need any of these services, but if you do we are prepared.
