COMMUNITY
The City of Wisconsin Rapids invites you to join us in celebrating the 100th anniversary of our vibrant river-city, tucked in the beautiful south Wood County region of Wisconsin. We welcome you to take leisurely strolls through town, enjoying our many locally-owned and uniquely-charming small businesses. Be sure to schedule a cranberry marsh tour, visit our many beautiful historic buildings or take in an art show.
Wisconsin Rapids offers over 25 miles of recreational trails, through wooded and urban areas, along the riverfront, or crossing paths with many of our city parks, some of which have received recent updates, such as handicap accessible features and fitness stations.
Sports fans can play four golf courses in the city, and many more close by, all nestled in unique landscapes. Or take in a game at historic Witter Field, where our Northwoods League baseball team, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, are sure to keep you entertained.Watch a Riverkings hokey game or dare to sign up for a race at Central Wisconsin BMX.
And when the temps turn tropical, you can cool down at the free Mead Field Splash Pad or experience the Wisconsin Rapids Recreation Complex, featuring our new Aquatics Center.
From festivals to fishing, a municipal zoo and more – there are so many ways you can join us in celebrating our centennial.
