Garbage collection general information
Residents should put their garbage and recycling out on the curb before 6.00 a.m. of the day of pick up, but no sooner than 24 hours before pick up.  Residents may take their garbage to Waste Management, 2510 Engel Road, but a fee is charged at the landfill.

Garbage must be placed in the gray carts provided by the City. The cart must be facing in the correct direction (arrow on lid and white serial numbers facing the street), three feet from another cart or object (including parked cars), and the lid must be closed.

If you have items that do not fit inside the cart: Additional material and/or large items that do not fit into the garbage cart, such as furniture, mattresses and appliances, will need to be disposed of privately. The Garbage & Recycling Guide for Residents contains a listing of many common items, along with contact information for many local businesses that can aid in disposal. You can find the guide on our website here.

Carts must be removed from the street within 24 hours after collection.

Garbage is picked up once a week.
Recycling general information
Recycling is collected on the same day as garbage, but every other week. All recycling must be placed inside the green cart. The cart must be facing in the correct direction (arrow on lid and white serial numbers facing the street), three feet from another cart or object (including parked cars), and the lid must be closed.

Use the map to search for your address and determine your route. Once you know your route, you can click on the link for your recycling schedule: Route Schedule
