Yard Waste Collection Schedule
October 14 - 18, 2024 November 4 - 8, 2024 Residents will be required to use large PAPER YARD WASTE BAGS (plastic bags will not be accepted). (Paper yard waste bags are available at local retail/hardware stores.) Bags will be taken and composted, and not emptied at the curb and left to reuse. Yard waste collection will only take place once in the spring and twice in the fall. Residents must use the form below to place their address on the map for collection. |
Compost Sites
The City of Wisconsin Rapids has two composting sites available for residents and non-residents: East and West. Materials accepted at both composting sites are leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, brush, and tree limbs. Stumps are accepted at the West Side only and must be free of dirt. Contractors and non-residents wishing to dispose of stumps must pay at City Hall at the Engineering Office prior to disposal. STUMP PRICES Single axle: $15 Tandem axle: $30 Tri-axle: $40 Quad-axle: $50 Residents must have a compost tag to use the compost sites. Tags are free to City of Wisconsin Rapids residents and can be obtained at City Hall at the Engineering Office. Non-Resident tags can be purchased for $65.00 from the Township where the non-resident resides. Sites are closed the following observed holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Brush Collection Schedule
October 21 - 25, 2024 Brush is limited to one pile no larger than 4’ high, 6’ wide, and 10’ long. Stumps and root balls are not accepted. Brush should be placed curbside the Sunday prior to the week of pickup. Crews will make one trip through each residential neighborhood; brush not placed on the curbside when crews go through the area will not be collected.
