The ice ponds will open on December 24, and are available for use during regular park hours (8 a.m.-11 p.m.).
Due to Wood County still seeing a rise of COVID cases, the City of Wisconsin Rapids Parks & Recreation Department will not be opening the warming house at the Wisconsin Rapids Recreation Center as planned. We will reevaluate conditions after the new year, and hopefully will determine an opening date at that time.
