WISCONSIN RAPIDS -- The city has announced that they will mail out annual tax bills on Dec. 16. There will be three due dates: January 31– 1st Installment; 100% of personal property taxes due April 30 – 2nd Installment July 31 – 3rd Installment (balance) You may also pay your property taxes online via Credit card, Debit cards or E Checks. Please note there will be fees attached. If you pay online, please allow five working days for the funds to reach out bank to be considered paid. We cannot accept online payments after July 31. The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) would like to provide additional guidance related to property tax payment deadlines and the application of the 5 working-day grace period. Items to Note ·If a property tax payment due date falls on a Sunday or legal holiday, the due date becomes the next business day (sec. 990.001(4)(b), Wis. Stats.) ·If a property tax payment due date falls on a Saturday, unless the municipality or county has official Saturday office hours, the due date becomes the next business day (sec. 990.001(4)(c), Wis. Stats.) ·Property tax payments received within 5 working days after the due date are not delinquent (see the grace period statutes of secs. 74.11 (7) and (8), 74.12 (7) and (8), 74.69(1), Wis. Stats., which are construed as a whole) If you are late or miss one payment the total tax is due. Due Dates | 5 working-day grace period Please note if you are paying your taxes in December, there is no grace period for December 31st.
