WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Even in the dead of winter, city leaders have their eyes on the summer. All Wisconsin Rapids residents are invited to enter into the Community Snowman Competition, presented by the Mayor’s Youth Council. This contest will challenge entrees to make a snowman that is dressed as if it is headed to catch some sun at the Aquatic Center. To enter into the competition, each person or family must fill out an entry form in the Google docs at the following link: https://forms.gle/SiPuz3CcqtbjSGQbA Bonus points can be earned for entries that are shared on Facebook by tagging Wisconsin Rapids Aquatics Center with a creative picture. Submissions will be judged by Mayor Zach Vruwink, Fire Chief Scott Young, and Police Chief Erman Blevins. The top 5 submissions will receive a prize. ”This fun and engaging activity celebrates winter and inspires us to look toward summer and the opening of the aquatic recreation facility, said Mayor Zach Vruwink. “The Youth Council is proud to host this fun competition!” Deadline for contest entries is Feb. 29. This contest is sponsored by Cravings Coffee, Terrace Custom Builders, and Rapids Ford Lincoln. Comments are closed.
