American Asphalt paved the binder course this week. The final surface layer remains before this project is complete. The street remains closed although residents have access to their homes. Wastewater force main river crossing: A-1 Excavating began topsoil restoration this week. Sand was brought in to rebuild the volleyball court in the park. One small piece of trail remains to be paved before the trail can be re-opened. Topsoil restoration and seeding was completed on Blue Heron Lane. The surface layer of asphalt remains on Blue Heron Lane and the intersection of Pepper Ave and Ridgewood Trail. West Side Lift Station: Miron Construction continues work within the new sump well. A new sanitary manhole and 30” inlet pipe was constructed for the sump well this week. Precision Grading began backfilling this week. Wisconsin River Green Space and Recreation Project: This week Janke completed construction of the retaining wall north of stone steps in the East Riverbank Conservancy. They also worked on the 2nd Street and East Riverbank Conservancy trails. They plan to have everything graded and ready for concrete next week. Also, the Janke crew began work on the fishing pier. Landscape subcontractor Revi Designs continued planting and landscape work in Demitz Park. Next week Janke’s concrete crew will be onsite pouring the concrete trails throughout the project. They also plan to have the fishing pier completed. Current Technologies will be onsite next week setting lights in Demitz Park and installing conduit in the East Riverbank Conservancy. High Street - 12th Ave N to 17th Ave N: This week City crews completed the underground work between 13th Ave N and 14th Ave N. Work began on the last segment of the project between 12th Ave N and 13th Ave N. Pember completed the concrete work from 14th Ave N to 17th Ave N. Residents along the 1200 block of High Street will not have direct access to their driveways during this stage of construction. Van Buren Street – 8th Ave N to 10th Ave N: City crews poured the last piece of curb this week. Some sidewalk work and asphalt paving remain for this project. 10th & 12th St Sidewalk Project: 10th St. (Grove-Wood), Wood Ave (10th-12th) and 12th St (Wood-River Run) No work this week as Pember concentrated efforts on High Street.
